Week in Feminine Dress: Thursday

Thursday is my "Dad Day," when I accompany my father to the Classical Christian School where he teaches. I teach a few violin lessons during the day (and get a ridiculous amount of reading done during my free hours). So forgive the tired look -- I've spent (nearly) the entire day trying to teach five-year-olds coordination.

My outfit today is a thrifted A-line peachskin skirt, paired with a recently completed beige blouse. And my brown sandals, which I doubt will survive to the end of summer!

  1. You always have the sweetest blouses, Shannon! I love the slightly ruffled sleeves.

  3. I have those sandles! I love them too :)

Oh, by the way, I am a lurker. I adore your blouses and I am planning on making a couple inspired by you :)

  5. Lovely as always! I'm hoping to play around with blouse patterns this summer once the baby comes...they give such a nice touch to all of your outfits!

I've also been wanting to ask...where did you get your page background? I'm getting frustrated with how few options blogger has for backgrounds, but I'm not sure how to go about "branching out". Any tips?

  6. I think you must be the Queen of blouses. Yours are so pretty and feminine and I love the long skirt. I have similar brown sandals too. :)

  7. Tilly, thank you! I hope you do get to work on some blouses this summer; I'd love to see pictures of them! I got my page background from a website called "Cutest Blog on the Block." They're free backgrounds that you can use with Blogger, and they're great! The link is at the very bottom of my blog. I had a hard time choosing one!

LOL, Sarah! Would you believe I have two blouses I haven't posted yet, and I'm working on another one. Obsessed? I think so ;-)

    Shannon
