Week in Feminine Dress: Tuesday

Day 3 already! Today I wore a khaki gored skirt that I made last summer, now a staple in my closet. My blue gingham peasant blouse was originally an experiment to see if I liked the pattern, but it turned out well enough to use it! The fabric was from my mom's stash when she sewed voraciously, about twenty-five years ago!

And a close-up of my canvas skimmers, purchased on clearance from Target last year!

  4. Thank you! The shoes are finally comfortable -- it took a while to break them in, as a few blisters on my heels could testify :-)

I made the headband with a piece of lace trim from my mom's sewing stash (so thanks, Mom, for most of this outfit :-). I love the little daisies!

  5. Oh! What a good idea, making a head band out of lace! I have a big drawer fulls of lace that I'll probaby never use, but I think I'll try to make a few!
