Week in Feminine Dress -- Monday

The cold weather is here to stay -- at least for now! Today I delved once more into my "Fall-ish" wardrobe and chose my tan-and-navy Empire blouse with a navy stretch twill gored skirt, both of I which I posted about last Fall. My shoes are slip-on Mary Janes from Mudd (which is now one of my favorite shoe brands! They have some simply adorable styles).

Today I don't have an "action" shot (the whole point of WIFD is to show that you can do almost any activity in feminine clothing), but there wasn't much action, anyway. I spent the whole day working on my current sewing project: six uniforms (dresses) for teachers at the school that employs my father. Let's just say that no seamstresses were consulted when the pattern and fabric were chosen! I'll be very excited to see the last of these dresses...

  1. I like your skirt, Shannon. You seem to have so many different skirts; all so pretty and feminine.

I hope your sister is feeling better today. :D

Aren't cold snaps nice! I can't say so much for rainy periods, though. Give me cold weather rather than rainy weather any day!

  3. I love that blouse Shannon. It's absolutely lovely. The color and the cut! And it compliments you so nicely. You look more than adorable so I most definitely can't use that word...you look...beautiful! =)

I'm so sorry Tiffany isn't feeling well! Please tell her I'm thinking and praying for her.

Jerusha, I have too many skirts! As hard as I try to downsize, it just doesn't seem to work. :-)

  9. LOVE your shoes! Just today I some some "MUDD" shoes that were SO adorable, and would have gotten them, but the price was a bit more than I wanted to spend. Do you get yours online, or?

  10. Cheri, I wait for them to go on clearance at our local department store (Bealls, pronounced "Bells" -- I think it's only in the Southeast). Their clearance is either 50 or 70 percent off, and then they have "extra 40 percent off" sales. So I get them for about 12 dollars a pair (or less!). Of course, then I'm limited to what's left over...

I hope you can find some!

    Yours in Christ,
    Shannon
