A Black-and-White Garden

A black-and-white floral print made up in the indispensible McCalls 5431. Just in time for Spring!

Will I ever get tired of a skirt that can be started and finished in about two hours (or maybe less) and is this much fun to wear? I don't think so.

  1. It's beautiful! I love the print on it! I love finding new patterns to make and will have to look into this one! It's lovely!!

  2. So pretty!! Can I ask where you found such lovely fabric?

  3. Thanks!

Cheri, the fabric is a $2 per yard find from Wal-Mart! :-)

    Yours in Christ,

  4. How sweet! I really like the pattern. I'm working on a skirt for the first time in ages...I'd forgotten how much fun it is!

  5. That is lovely. My favorite length for skirts!

  6. Lovely Shannon! I just love the fabric! I've been wanting to try that pattern out one of these days!

  7. Very pretty! Looks breezy and soft. Cute with the mary janes.

  8. Hi Shannon,
You're skirt is pretty, comfy and feminine. Just the style and lenght I like.
Question for you, do you find Mccalls run small? Iam a size 10
and think I should use size 12
    pattern size.
    What do you think?
    Thanks for you input

  9. Lovely print! That looks like it will be a great spring and summer skirt.

  10. So pretty - the fabrics you pick out are just lovely!

  11. Shannon that is so beautiful! I have heard you mention this pattern before but I have a question for you lengthen the skirt at all and do you put the pockets on or not? I was wondering because although I like the style of this skirt, I tend to like my skirts a little longer than in the pattern picture and I also wondered if you used the pockets or not. Thanks!

  12. What a beautiful skirt! I love black and white together. :-)

I'd love to hear your thoughts! Thank you so much for stopping by!
