In Season

Spring is officially here, and April has been ushered in with gorgeous sunny weather and delicious breezes.

And what better way to enjoy the start of April than by sampling some of the area's most delicious produce?

Some friends and I were no fools to go strawberry picking on April first! And it's so helpful to bring a cheerful little picking buddy along -- although he did rather distract me from my purpose.

In spite of distractions, we made it home with several pounds of the most gorgeous strawberries I've ever seen -- delicious, too! What a delight to introduce our Little Man to just one of the many marvelous blessings that God has given us on this good, green earth. He's still too little to taste one yet, but in a few months he can try one of the berries I put up in the freezer!

Such fun -- but oh, how all that picking will wear you out!

  1. How fun Shannon!
It is not quite strawberry season here in KY yet, but we are sure looking forward to when it does arrive; especially since we have about run our of homemade jam!
    Blessings!
