Daffadowndilly

.:. Daffadowndilly .:.

She wore her yellow sun-bonnet,
She wore her greenest gown;
She turned to the south wind
And curtsied up and down.
She turned to the sunlight
And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbour:
"Winter is dead."

- A.A. Milne -

We must smell all of the flowers. Because every patch of daffodils might smell a little different, you know?

Hoping that you're enjoying some signs of Spring in your little corner of this earth!

  1. Such a beautiful picture! I love the poem too. : ) Here in NY my daffodils are just starting to pop up. It will be a month before any bloom.

    1. Daffodils were few and far between when we lived in Florida, so I am thoroughly enjoying the abundance of them here! Banks and banks of them! Hope yours start blooming soon!

      And yes, trust A.A. Milne for thoroughly sweet children's poems. We were listening to a dramatized reading of Winnie-the-Pooh in the car today, and it reminded me how much I love his writing for children!

      Cheers,
      Shannon

    1. Thanks, Diane! Yes, they are certainly glad to be able to go outside and (Little Man's favorite) wear short sleeves! :-)

      Cheers,
