Leather goods are definitely something you can save a bundle on if you make them yourself.

And how funny that your daughter is my "toe twin!" ;-)

I'm so glad you enjoy the blog, and greatly appreciate your taking the time to comment -- it's nice to have an outlet to share my creative endeavors; somehow I feel my friends would probably grow tired of constantly hearing "look what I just made!" ;-)

Blessings,
Shannon~ Shannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08882650511821959701noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1278139998273750963.post-51743567070356152472014-06-23T17:54:02.790-07:002014-06-23T17:54:02.790-07:00Your shoe project looks really interesting! I haven't done much with leather work, but I recently discovered that we have a Tandy Leather store in our area, which has great things for bag making. There's a lot of interesting stuff there that I would love to know how to use.

I love your feet photos, and I just had to write and comment that my daughter has toes just. like. yours. :)

I appreciate your creative projects and the time you spend putting together everything for your blog! :)

KristaMrsSMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05059609471160531234noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1278139998273750963.post-43650099879258562722014-06-23T16:02:41.212-07:002014-06-23T16:02:41.212-07:00Alyssa,

I guess at 5' 5" I don't have "vertical" issues to take into account with my shoe selection. :-)

Blessings,
Shannon~ Shannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08882650511821959701noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1278139998273750963.post-46080451241780118742014-06-23T13:48:20.299-07:002014-06-23T13:48:20.299-07:00Thanks for this post, Shannon! I have to say that ...Thanks for this post, Shannon! I have to say that I am the complete opposite when it comes to shoes...I have far too many pairs and I wear heels quite a bit as I'm "vertically challenged." :) Thank you also for explaining how you made your sandals, and as always, I continue to be in awe and admiration of your creativity and resourcefulness!!! And I'm fine with that. :-) It's a bit more of a struggle for me to resist shoes, but I really prefer having only a few favorite pairs.

Blessings,
Shannon~ Shannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08882650511821959701noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1278139998273750963.post-79126986944631688212014-06-22T20:18:36.311-07:002014-06-22T20:18:36.311-07:00I enjoyed your post! I have a few heels for when I taught (it made me look taller), but now I wear one of three pairs: my flip-flops, a pair of black flats with linen uppers (I paid $30....more than usual, but they are amazingly comfortable and I'll wear them into the ground) and a pair of Asics running flats (I use them for walking and everyday use). The last time I tried on a pair of shoes with a heel it felt so uncomfortable!! What a fun idea with the sandals :)Hannah H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05634161187881955410noreply@blogger.com
