So just how will we use thirty-six thrifted wine glasses in varying shapes and styles come January? You'll have to wait and see! They won't be holding liquid, though...
When I got married, we had no money. Neither of our parents had money. I was going through immigration and it is $$$.
The thrift store in our area seemed to have a lot of these 'ugly' green bowls. They may have even been light fixtures. But at 25 cents each, I bought all I could find. Filled them with dirt and the only inexpensive flowers blooming at the time were potted mums. I never did care for mums, but they and the ugly green bowls were centerpieces for all the tables at the reception. (where I served pizza since I worked at a pizza place and my boss gave us free pizza for the reception)
Now, every time I see a potted mum... my heart flutters a bit. I love them. I wish I had kept one of the bowls. The wedding guests were allowed to take them all home.
Oooo, I have an idea of what you'll be using them for! =)
ReplyDeleteMe too! But, I guess we'll have to wait and see!

Reception table centerpieces maybe? I don't know. Your collection so far looks great!
