On the front: "My First Thanksgiving."
The size: 24 months.
Now, I'm not a math genius, but it doesn't take much brain power to figure out that you will have experienced your first Thanksgiving by 12 months of age. Maybe some people just have really big babies. Really, really big babies.
The really weird thing?
There was only one bodysuit left on the clearance rack. Now that makes me wonder...
In my experience my boys have always pretty much corresponded their age to the size they wear. So, at 12 mos they would typically be in a size 12 mos. That being said I personally know moms whose babies have been ENORMOUS, but generally they have been formula fed babies. I know one lady who had a 20 lb. baby at four months! My boys have been lucky to reach 16-18 lbs. by their first birthday, but all babies are different!

ReplyDeleteWhile I appreciate the hilarity of the situation, I wish I had seen that! ;) I can NEVER find cute little holiday outfits for my little boys their first year...they start out over 10 pounds and have both been in 12 month clothes by six months and Dominic is already growing out of many 18 months and he is only 9 months now. 22lbs six months, and at his last weigh he was already 25! My Jenny was never like that, always fitting exactly her age's size with no problem, even a bit on the tiny side...so funny how different these babies can be! :)
ReplyDeleteSince two of the three comments so far indicate that there *are* babies big enough for a 24 months onesie, I guess I stand corrected! Although I still hold that for a company to intentionally make such a garment is a bit nuts. :-)
