There are only a few days remaining in our trip. I'm writing this post beforehand (thank you, scheduled blogging!), but I'm sure that by this time I'm quite ready for the comfort and familiarity of my own bed, my own house, and my own routine. As wonderful as traveling is, there truly is no place like home!
But I'm glad we're ending with the Grand Canyon -- having something *big* to look forward to at the end of trip always helps when weary feet long to rest, and muscles cramped from hotel beds and long hours in a car begin to rebel.
But once the Grand Canyon lies in the rearview mirror, look out!

It sounds like you've had a wonderful vacation. Your post reminds me of a little ditty my mom loves to say after we've been away for a while: "It is fun to go away; and it is fun to come home!" She says it in a sing-song, Dick-and-Jane sort of voice... :)
