One of the Most Beautiful Words in the World...
...is "Home!"
After almost twelve hours in the airport waiting for our flight, we finally took off at 1:00 AM on Monday morning. Just as a note, I hate Las Vegas -- I don't think I've ever been in a more repulsive city! Even the airport was...vile.
Anyway, by 8:00 AM we arrived home. Home! For the first day or so I walked around in shock -- I had forgotten what hardwood floors look like, how nice our kitchen is, and how wonderful it is to have my own room.
Thank you for your comments while I was away (and thank you, Blogger, for scheduled blogging!). Over the next few days I hope to post some pictures and thoughts from our trip. But first I have to download 900 or so pictures...
Here are a few trip *musts* for a three-week trip:
~ A hot shower every night. Nothing washes away travel weariness like a hot shower!
~ Patience. Four people in a PT Cruiser for several hours every day has the potential for a lot of unpleasantnes. I wish I could say I followed my own advice...
~ A camera!
~ A well-developed sense of wonder. God's Creation is truly amazing -- beautiful, diverse, and sometimes astonishing.

Welcome back, Shannon!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely time relaxing and recovering. I finished vacation last week, and the coming home to familiar places and rest was the best part.
